United African Orphans and Widows Foundation is a women and children focused organization located in Iganga, Eastern Uganda that strives to ensure a bright future for orphans, widows, and vulnerable children through advocacy, education, economic empowerment, psychosocial support and community development initiatives.
UAOWF envisions a society where orphans, widows and vulnerable children are empowered for development.
The mission of UAOWF is to achieve lasting improvement in the quality of live of orphans, vulnerable children and widows through education, material support, psychosocial support, health care and income generating activities.
UAOWF works in close collaboration with both local and international organizations including: PACE, PATH OF PAPER, IDINASO, ICWEA, DENIVA, PEACE CORPS UGANDA and others.
